Jayne's Interests

When Todd asked me to write about my interests or hobbies, I couldn’t really think of anything. But then I remembered all the stuff that I like doing. Back in the US my favorite hobby was watching TV. Todd hated the fact that I could spend hours watching TV, but I felt the same about him and his computer. Anyway here in Singapore TV is really pretty bad. Singapore gets most of the top shows in the US but airs them really late at night. The local TV shows are not very good and look pretty low budget. So basically I’ve given up on this hobby.

I have taken to reading books instead. I like reading all sorts of books but have decided that I like mysteries. I like trying to see if I can figure out "who dunit" before the book tells me. And no I don’t cheat by reading the ending first.

I also like to do cross stitch and needlepoint. I don’t like getting the prepackaged sets. I like to come up with my own designs, making Bible covers out of them for friends. So far I think I’ve made about five or six.

Another thing I like to do is put together photo albums. I think I get this from my mom. She put together photo albums for my brother and me from the time we were born. So basically I have about 12 to 13 photo albums at my parents house that shows the various stages of me. Besides this hobby goes hand in hand with Todd’s photography hobby, he takes the pictures and I put them in an album.

Todd's Comments:  Jayne has taken up a new hobby: learning photography with an SLR.  For all her life, she has used a Point and Shoot camera but suddenly decided she wanted to have more control over her pictures.  Maybe I've finally rubbed off on her?  Nah, maybe she's practicing for taking baby pictures.
