Kamakura is the great escape for Tokyoites needing a break from the big city life. Although Kamakura is often full of tourists (foreign and domestic alike), the beauty of it's rolling hills and the peacefulness of many temples help you forget how close you are to one of the most crowded cities in the world. We spent a day in this beautiful city and saw very little of it's many interesting sights. Kamakura is a place you can return to over and over again, uncovering more and more of it's rich history every time.
